Vertu has finally unveiled yet another luxury smartphone called the Vertu Constellation Quest Ferrari inspired by the Ferrari 458 Italia sports car. The device has it primary focus on use of luxe materials like polished sapphire crystal, Ferrari calf leather and polished black ceramic than on high-end functionality. This phone sports the iconic Ferrari logo embossed in the leather on the front of the handset. Also the famous symbol of the Ferrari race team, the Cavallino Rampante crafted from polished stainless steel sits atop the titanium battery cover. Users will also be able to boast of exclusive ringtones obtained from live recordings of a Ferrari 458 Italia on a test circuit.

Driven by Symbian v9.3, S60 3rd Edition OS along with ARM 11 processor, this one comes with 512 MB of flash memory and 128 MB RAM. Besides, the phone packs a 2.4-inch display screen with 320 x 240 pixel resolution, a 5MP rear camera and a VGA one on the front. The camera specs are far behind the present industry standards but this one is supposedly made to just add dollops to your style statement.

The makers also claim that each of these handsets have been built by just one craftsman who signs the handset as an assurance of Vertu’s commitment to quality. Their collaboration with Ferrari engineering team has resulted into the newly modified DLC (Diamond-like carbon) coating on this luxury handset. Owning one of these handsets comes with a set of privileges. Once the customer registers the handset with Vertu Concierge, they are given a key to the world of Ferrari. Users will be afforded access to unique Ferrari content and experiences, which are otherwise enjoyed by only by some privileged few.

Vertu has launched three exclusive cell phones to commemorate the Year of the Dragon. Vertu Signature Dragon collection is offered in yellow gold with diamonds, stainless steel with emeralds and black stainless steel with rubies. The highlight of this collection is the ‘four-clawed dragon motif which was an emblem exclusively reserved for Chinese noblemen and senior officials’. The top of the line, yellow gold model is decked with 18ct yellow gold while the navigation button is set with a 0.33ct princess cut white diamond. At the rear, the dragon’s eyes blaze with two white diamonds. This dragon has already travelled to Switzerland to be honored with the 725 stamp in the Assay Office before settling on this Vertu. However we are disappointed with the fact that the price of the Vertu Signature Dragon gold diamond model is not known.
